A thrilling, genre-bending performance event from the electrifying UNSW New Music Collective to inspire and provoke new and exciting ways to engage with and enjoy the music of our time.

Featuring powerful, dynamic and radical works by Frederic Rzewski, Steve Reich, Vincent Plush, George Lewis and our very own Eitan Muir, this concert affirms that music making is a profound collective experience that speaks to freedom, choice, social responsibility, defiance and play.

Short films with light-hearted stories, hysterical situations, misunderstandings, madness and a swathe of jet-black humour. There will be jokes, gags, pratfalls and probably some glowsticks...

States and Senses is an interdisciplinary exhibition which explores intense emotional states that are often suppressed —such as grief, rage, loss, fear and anguish, and their drivers.

What is classified as 'abject' has been fiercely contested due to the self questioning that it facilitates. Defined as completely without pride or dignity the ‘abject’ is deeply personal, often manifesting through lived experience and shaped by cultural perspectives. The theme of the ‘abject’ provides a uniting undertow in (A) Mild Inconvenience, exploring value, disposability, resurrection, invasion, utility and sympathy.

Three big bands on one big night - a jazz feast!

UNSW's jazz musicians will play a range of new and known works in a night featuring the UNSW Jazz Orchestra, G16 Jazz Collective and UNSW Advanced Jazz Ensemble. 

Three children went out to play. Only two came back... 

The Flower Girls. Laurel and Primrose. 

One convicted of murder, the other given a new identity.

Now, nineteen years later, another child has gone missing.

And The Flower Girls are about to hit the headlines all over again...
