Why would I want that? Tea & Technology Café is a relaxed space to connect with researchers pioneering Artificial Intelligence [AI], virtual reality, robotics, immersive media and sound experiences, designed for older audiences.
We invite members of the public – especially those over 65 – along with service-providers and business leaders to discover how technology can transform our lives in ways that we want, keeping us stimulated, active and well for longer.
The day includes:
- Panel discussions with prominent figures from entertainment, politics and business.
- AI companions designed to support older people with life challenges including loneliness, anxiety, fears about falling and physical safety.
- Viv, the world’s first digitally embodied AI dementia peer companion
- Virtual Reality experiences that transport you to other worlds
- Sound environments and creative tools for music-making
- Robots and refreshments
Presented by the UNSW Ageing Futures Institute in association with the Big Anxiety Research Centre.
