Featuring songs composed by Hoagy Carmichael, Johnny Mercer, Burt Bacharach, Elvis Costello, Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, and Australian composer Gian Slater, the audience will be taken on a journey of the heart. Beth’s own arrangements and interpretations of these songs share an insight into her creative process.
WORK 02
Savage
Chrysoulla Markoulli // Honours Composition Recital
In the first year of her degree, Chrysoulla found her passion for music composition and its power to tell any story. Now in the final year of her degree, she hopes to share this with you through SAVAGE, where she has composed original scores to help tell four different stories about the never ending cycles of creation and destruction, life and death. These stories are in the form of three existing short films and one existing short documentary, re-scored by Chrysoulla with the permission of their creators, for the fulfilment of her Bachelor of Music (honours)/ Bachelor of Education degree requirements.
