Equipping students with STEM skills and experiences is critical in driving innovation and meeting Australia’s future job needs. The UNSW STEM Teachers' Day provides you with practical ideas and techniques to boost STEM education in the classroom and beyond. You'll connect with our world-leading researchers to discuss emerging innovations, workshops and outreach opportunities to further support and enhance your teaching and inspire your students to engage with STEM tools to creatively solve problems that will shape a better world.

At the UNSW STEM Teachers' Day, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in tailored and immersive workshops
  • Discover the UNSW STEM innovations occurring in Engineering, Science and Actuarial Studies.
  • Explore the UNSW labs and makerspaces and get a hands-on experience with our modern facilities and equipment.
  • Connect directly with UNSW academics and students. - Collaborate with other STEM teachers and book outreach opportunities offered by UNSW.

Who is it for?

Current teachers of Stage 5 and 6 Science, Technological and Applied Studies, Engineering and Mathematics subjects

What’s included?

The UNSW STEM Teachers' Day is a free event! The day will consist of immersive workshops, research sessions and networking opportunities. Morning tea and lunch are provided.

Once you have registered your attendance, our team will send you further details on the program for the day including workshop details, and request for you to nominate your preferred workshops.
