The way we relate to space can be used as a barometer for the ways in which we relate to each other and ourselves. This is the central dialogue on which ‘Speaking Space’ Billie Posters’ upcoming exhibition is based. ‘Speaking Space’ discusses how spatial relations create social relations through a display of performative dialogues in film and sculpture. The title also references Posters’ interrogation of the gallery as the artist’s speaking space, where they are sanctioned to say their piece. ‘Speaking Space’ explores how sex, histories, identities, social fears and desires can all be influenced and expressed in our relationship to space.

Billie Posters is an emerging performance and video artists with a practice grounded in movement. Interrogating the symbolic and communicative potentials of human motion and the concept of movement at large. Posters' has exhibited at 541 Art Space, Kudos Gallery, Roller Door Projects and has upcoming exhibitions at NOX Sculpture Walk in May 2019 and Rookwood Cemetery Film Awards in June 2019. Posters' repertoire of work is available on his YouTube channel searchable by the moniker, 'Billie Posters'. Posters' practice has maintained the maxim that the body is a conduit for meaning and our ability to move, our motor skills, are the way in which we activate this potential. Posters practice investigates the links between spatial relations and social relations, representing this in serial spatially stimulated improvised dance films.
