Join us from Monday 16 to Friday 27 September 2024 for UNSW’s annual sexual health and relationships festival.

SEXtember is an opportunity to break down taboos around sex and sexuality, promote healthy relationships and encourage sex-positive conversations in the University community.

Explore four student poems and the collective love poem, Salty Sweet. The Living Poetry project is on display in The Helen McGuire Lawn all SEXtember and the online exhibition can be viewed now!

Sign up for a Staff or Student Bystander workshop to gain skills to help you safely intervene when situations don’t feel right.

Register for a live webinar with Mataio Faafetai (Matt) Brown from She Is Not Your Rehab. Matt will discuss the power of mental health and addressing childhood trauma in helping to prevent cycles of gendered violence.

Learn the dos and don’ts about Intercultural dating from UNSW international students.

Listen to a UNSW and Adelaide student get real with Georgia Grace about relationships and intimacy.

Participate in Hump Day on Wednesday 25 September from 10am to 4pm. We’ll bring together community and health experts on the Helen Maguire Lawn for a day of festivities. There’ll be opportunities to meet staff from ACON, take part in group fitness sessions with UNSW Fitness & Aquatic centre staff, get an STI check, and view The Living Poetry Project and What Were You Wearing (WWYW) exhibitions, plus much more.

Looking for support?

Support is available for students and staff affected by gendered violence.

UNSW staff can access support through the University’s EAP service, Converge International.

Students can connect with on- campus support through Mental Health Connect.

Both students and staff can report gendered violence through the Gendered Violence Portal to explore options for support and services available to you and understand options for formally reporting to the University or externally.
