What’s Happening?

Join us to celebrate the official launch of the RISE Finance Lab — a bold new initiative advancing Responsible, Impactful, Sustainable, and Ethical finance at UNSW.

This interactive event will showcase how financial tools, research, and education can support positive social stewardship across three critical domains:

  • 🌱 Climate risk and transition finance
  • 💡 Financial literacy and empowerment
  • 🙏 Reducing harm in financial decision-making

What to Expect

  • Opening remarks and insights from finance leaders and RISE collaborators
  • A dynamic "Challenge Wall" inviting you to share the problems finance should help solve
  • A creative Storyboard space capturing the values and vision of the lab
  • Kids' Corner with drawing boards and activities for young future financiers
  • Networking opportunities with peers from industry, academia, policy, and community sectors

Who Should Come?

Whether you're an academic, policymaker, financial professional, student, or curious community member, this event is for anyone interested in shaping finance for the public good.

Why It Matters

The RISE Finance Lab aims to build a diverse and forward-thinking network committed to using finance as a force for good. By connecting researchers, regulators, industry leaders, and emerging thinkers, we are laying the groundwork for a more ethical, inclusive, and sustainable financial future.

Registrations close Tuesday 9th September.
