“Living Water Oration Series: Celebrating Ronnie Harding” will reflect on the pioneering work of Associate Professor Ronnie Harding, and how her legacy continues to influence environmental research at UNSW.
This panel discussion will focus on the interdisciplinary nature of the Environment Humanities, as championed by the late Associate Professor Ronnie Harding. It will be convened by Professor Matthew Kearnes and Professor Daniel Robinson, with panellist Dr Clare Britton, Associate Professor Paul Brown, Aunty Ronda Dixon-Grovenor, and Associate Professor Marilu Melo Zurita.
There will be a Welcome to Country by Gadigal, Bidjigal and Yuin elder Aunty Ronda Dixon-Grovenor.
“Celebrating Ronnie Harding” is part of a series of talks connected to the exhibition Living Water: 75 years of water research at UNSW that recognises and celebrates past and present pioneers of environmental and water research at UNSW. While the exhibition surveys current UNSW work, the oration series acknowledges the ongoing legacy of influential figures and impactful projects that continue to shape water research today.
Living Water is a collaboration between UNSW Library and UNSW Global Water Institute with funding support from the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Law & Justice, Faculty of Science, and UNSW Library.
A light lunch will be provided. RVSP is essential.
