After a decade of successful work in Australia, Simon recently returned from a role with the United Nations working in the world’s biggest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Here, he explored exercise as a mental health and psychosocial strategy for displaced populations that are restricted by their environment and resources.
Based on this growing international phenomenon, and drawing on his own research, Simon will demonstrate just how crucial exercise is, for both displaced people in developing nations and those with poor mental health in our own community.
