Hot Jazz For Cool Nights

Like hot chocolate for the soul. Warm up your winter nights with UNSW’s finest jazz talent! 

Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Ensembles share a concert of playful and intimate repertoire from the 20th and 21st Century jazz songbooks.  

Intermediate Jazz, an octet of vocals, horns and rhythm section, will capture the energy of modern compositions and favourites from the American Songbook.  

They may be smaller in numbers, but certainly not in sound. The Advanced Jazz Ensemble encounters bebop and driving small-group funk that will perpetuate the free spirits of jazz, while interacting across the ensemble with deft playfulness.
