We’ve stretched out to the ends of the earth, and are bringing together a program that includes music and styles from around the globe.
Playing with a diversity of styles and eras, this ensemble covers a range of jazz standards and jazz-related material. The superb instrumentalists and vocalists keep you on your toes with spontaneous interactions, thrilling improvisations, and unstoppable beats.

Pastor T showcases the distinctive groove sounds of jazz-meets-new-African-American-hip-hop that has developed in the US over the last 20 years. Expansive is a mesmerising new composition by UNSW Study Abroad student Kareem El-Tawil from the US. This piece explores uneven metric relationships as it drifts through a lush harmonic field. Homunculus is a jazz-rock fusion piece performed by the German band Passport. Its detailed melodic and rhythmic parts demand excellence in performance and give the members of the ensemble a chance to shine separately and together. Lest we Forget is a beautiful choral-like piece with rhythm accompaniment and features a guest vocal performance by Madeline Maher.
