This dynamic online panel discussion will explore the role of mental health in the workplace and the psychosocial hazards facing workers today.  

During the conversation, we will unpack the disconnect between mental health initiatives and workplace realities; exploring how new legislation requires businesses to manage psychosocial risks, discussing the financial and operational impact of effective mental health strategies and examining the opportunities as we reshape the future of workplace support.

Julie Dixon

UNSW Alumna. Interim Director, Priority Programs, Mental Health Branch, NSW Ministry of Health

Julie has 20 years senior executive experience across a variety of roles including Public and Population Health, Community Health, state-wide Mental Health, Strategy and Clinical Service Planning, Community and Consumer Partnerships as well as managing AOD, HIV and Sexual Health Services. In her role, Julie oversees and provides strategic guidance on publicly funded suicide prevention and peer workforce related programs and initiatives. Julie is also currently leading the development of whole-of-government suicide prevention legislation.

Natasha Davis

UNSW Alumna. Founder, Director and Clinical Psychologist at Wise Institute

Natasha is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years' experience delivering evidence-based services to individuals and organisations. A Fellow of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy, she held many leadership roles in this organisation from 2003 to 2012 and played a pivotal role in its nationalisation during those years. Natasha lectures Postgraduate Clinical and Forensic Masters students at UNSW and leads a team of Clinical Psychologists at Wise Institute.

Lee Knight

UNSW Academic Program Director – Mental Health Practice Program and Senior Lecturer in Forensic Mental Health

Lee is a formally trained Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) who specialises in the field of forensic psychiatry. He has over 20 years of experience in the field, including a significant role as the Clinical Coordinator of a large, randomised control study at UNSW from 2013 to 2023. Additionally, Lee holds leadership positions, such as Board Director and Chair of the Clinical Governance and Operations Committee for the Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation (AKKF).
