Let your ears sink deep into the ocean, rest them against breaking icebergs and let bubbles wash over them. Allow us to envelop you in sound and listen deeply to the stories and statistics of a planet in need of attention.

Biomes describes the acoustic communities of science and sound, here expressed in a series of multichannel audio works. A collaboration between science and the arts with works created by students in Music and Media at UNSW, guided by climate scientist Dr Zoë Thomas and sonic artist Dr Adam Hulbert. Working together, they have responded to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, using their aesthetic skills to connect listeners with climate science research.
