2026 Jenny Birt Award
Join us for the launch of the Jenny Birt Award exhibition and the announcement of the 2026 winner.
The Jenny Birt Award was initiated in 1995 by the 'U Committee' and is the longest running and most distinguished award for painting within the School of Art & Design's academic calendar. Candidates are nominated by academic staff and then selected for inclusion in the exhibition and consideration for the Award.
The 2026 finalists:
Alessia Marrocco, Alison Campion, Allyson Brown, Anika Percival, Ava McClure, Chel King, Diya Rao, Elijah Kinnavong, Eric Kang, Gemma Anderson, Grace Milross, Harman Virk, Isiri Hughes, Laura O'Keefe, Matthew Paterson, Mila Piccardi, Monisha Kumar, Rand Qashou, Sihan Guo, Yuan Zhuang (Camilla).
Join us in the AD Space to view the Jenny Birt Award exhibition and hear the announcement of the 2026 winner. Light refreshments will be served in the Paddington campus courtyard.
Live Event
The AD Space is located at the Paddington Campus, Cnr of Oxford Street and Greens Road, Paddington. Please note that this is a live event only, and will not be available via livestream. The exhibition however will be photographed and will subsequently be available on the UNSW Art & Design website.
The Jenny Birt exhibition will remain available for viewing in the AD Space until 27 June.
Parking & Public Transport
There is no parking on the Paddington campus. Whilst we recommend using public transport to get to our campus, there is street parking available in Paddington.
The School of Art & Design campus is centrally located in the vibrant heart of Paddington and is well serviced by public transport options. We are within walking distance of two train stations: Central Station and Museum Station. Buses also operate to and from Oxford St and nearby Flinders St: Find your preferred route.
