Clancy the Lion Art Competition | Community Day 2025
Are you a UNSW staff member with highly applauded or secretly held artistic skills? Or do you have children or friends who love to draw? Submit your entry to the UNSW Community Day 2025 x Clancy the Lion Art Competition!
The UNSW Event Programs team are looking for artworks which capture the spirit of Clancy the Lion to display at the 2025 UNSW Community Day. All current staff members their families/friends are invited to enter, and we want to see your unique illustrations of (or which are inspired by) our energetic and proud UNSW mascot Clancy the Lion.
Draw, paint, watercolour, sketch, or use whichever artistic method you prefer – we want to see your creative style!
ENTRY GUIDELINES
Theme
The artwork needs to be either of or inspired by Clancy the Lion. See gallery below for references.
Who Can Enter
UNSW staff and their families/friends.
Artwork Requirements
All artworks must:
- be portrait in orientation;
- be A3 in size;
- not have a background.
Materials
Submissions can use any artistic medium – pencil, paint, markers, crayons, digital, etc.
Originality
Only original artworks will be accepted. Please refrain from submitting AI-generated artworks.
HOW TO ENTER
Either submit via:
- the online entry form and upload a high resolution scan of your drawing.
- Please keep the original safe in case the team needs to get in touch to re-scan.
- physical submission at the Chancellery Building reception (C22), Gate 9, UNSW Sydney.
- Download and complete the entry PDF form and drop it off with your original artwork.
- Label your package c/o Emily Oades, Producer, Event Programs.
Entries close Wednesday 3 September, 5pm.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY ARTWORK?
Successful artworks will be displayed at UNSW Community Day 2025 in a featured exhibition. A prize will be awarded for the hero artworks as per the below.
